I think Air Transat and Sunwing also operate flights from Montreal to Panama, but they go to RIH instead of PTY.

DEAR SANTA....GEE US PLANES!!! My whole family were RCAF during the war...When I was a kid in Nortyh Bay...We were Fighter Town....24/7 Thre must have been over 50+ Jets.

As an Aircadet having gone to summer camp at Bagotville, O remember the noise of Voodoos taking off with full afterburner in the middle of the night which was very.impressive. In 1979, I towed gliders for the air cadets at St.Honore, which was 16 km from Bagotville and we had visits periodically from CF-18s. We also getting a ride in a helicopter up the Shipshaw river as far as the dam near Alcoa.

Thank-you Mr Brandon. I was a kid living at Bagotville in the sixties. I used to watch the Voodoos take off. When they hit afterburner a few seconds after the red glow, we could feel the concussion on our chests. Good times!

The Snowbirds flew over Base Petawawa last week and put on a show for us. Nice to see them again, especially with all the cuts to the Armed Forces.

My only visit to Newfoundland was a fuel stop in Gander way back in 1952. I was aboard a TWA Connie from Paris to New York via Shannon and Gander. 17 hours in transit. Far cry from today's 6-7 hts. 😊 Super video. Thanks.

All very interesting, thanks! 👍 Always lots of info on the tail of aircraft. For example, if you look closely at the first Herc you'll see ANG which stands for Air National Guard. The number 85908, which is really 18-5908, follows the pattern of aircraft tail numbers in Air Mobility Command (AMC). Plus the name of the base. So, ANG is self explanatory. The number 18 is the fiscal year it was appropriated. They drop the decade which is the first digit "1". The last four numbers is the sequence number. Notice the base is "Charlie West" which is Charleston, West Virginia. And, look closely, you'll see a map of West Virginia on the left of "Charlie West". This tells you that the Herc is from the 130th Airlift Wing. Which happens to have eight Hercs. Bonus fact, pause the video and count the number of blades for each propeller. There's six which means it's a C-130J. Older models have four blades. If you see eight then it's either an experimental C-130H. Or a special mission Herc that goes to Antarctica, etc. Extra bonus fact, look at the style of blades as well. Notice they're not straight but curved. These are known as "scimitar" blades. So much info, lol. 😊

Nice catch at Burlington. I used to work the ramp for Heritage back in the late 2000's. Coolest two birds I ever had on the ramp were Frank Borman's F-86, flown by Steve Hinton. Really nice guy. gave me a USAF Heritage Flight patch off his flight suit since I bought him a soda since he didn't have any US coins, only Canadian. Also had Air Canada's Lockheed 12 Electra on the ramp for Customs. You could shave in the side of it, it was so polished.
